The Madras Seva Sadan Tambaram campus is spread over 13 acres, with two schools in its premises and was started in 1953, based on an urgent appeal from the people of Tambaram (a suburb in Chennai).

The Madras Seva Sadan has always been attentive to the needs of the community.

In response to an earnest appeal from the people of Tambaram, Chennai, the Founder’s set up a co-educational school in 1953, which in course of time developed into an aided Higher Secondary School.

The Madras Seva Sadan Higher Secondary School is a Tamil-Medium, Government-aided school with classes from 6th to the 12th standard and is a Tamil-Medium school, where close to a 1000 students study. In 2019, a self-financing section was started, catering to the English medium from LKG to the 5th standard.

The School is nestled in the heart of an 8 acre campus, and boasts of spacious classrooms, science labs equipped with advanced facilities that aid in teaching the prescribed curriculum. A dedicated computer lab has also been recently added to the campus.

Apart from imparting discipline and teaching the prescribed curriculum, emphasis is placed on sports and extracurricular activities in order to create well-rounded individuals.

Starting with the assembly and morning prayer, the vibrant school band fills the air with melodious tunes, while Yoga is practiced for physical, mental & spiritual well-being.

The School has access to excellent sporting facilities, including a football ground, cricket ground with 2 turf wickets, multiple astroturf practice nets, two volleyball courts, and much more. A large and spacious auditorium is also available, where in-house programmes and other functions are conducted.

A healthy body harbours a healthy mind! Keeping in mind that a healthy body harbours a healthy mind, the school also provides nutritious meals and snacks to students every single day, as part of the Government’s Noon Meal Scheme.

In addition, the fully equipped resource room along with trained, special education counsellors, helps mainstream children with various disabilities and seamlessly integrating them into society. This is the only school in the Tambaram locality that provides these facilities in the Tambaram locality , making it a beacon of hope to parents of children with disabilities.

Additionally, the state-of-the-art sporting facilities and equipment, along with national level coaching, has attracted several aspiring sportspersons and athletes from the surrounding localities. The school now boasts of champions in multiple sports such as athletics, cricket and volleyball.
